“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”
Plato

This article goes into the history of voting in the US, and details the 18 reasons why people don't vote, plus 18 reasons why people SHOULD vote. The article dives into why the Dualopoly is broken in the US. In conclusion the article offers many solutions. Every voter can help 'fix' the voting system by voting for the greater good, instead of evil or more evil.

A QUICK TIMELINE OF VOTING RIGHTS; THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON WHY EVERYONE SHOULD BE VOTING, BECAUSE THE RIGHT TO VOTE IS PRECIOUS AND MANY STRUGGLED OR DIED TO GET IT

Voting rights should not be taken for granted. When the supposed 'founders' of America signed those documents in 1776, basically no one was granted a 'right' to vote except for (rich) land owning, white men, over the age of 21. No one else could vote, period.

No Blacks (they were considered as sub human, and used/abused as slaves)
No Indians (despite an estimated 50 million of them living on continent)
No Poor Working Class White Men
No Asians
No Women, no, no, no...of any race, skin color, religion or creed

Above is a timeline of how long it took for various groups to get the right to vote..

It took a long, long time to get from only a few rich, white, racist, white supremacist land owners (often owning slaves) able to vote, to something much better, but still not 'right'.

It was not until 1856 that all white males got the right to vote, even if they did not own property.

In 1876 - Indians specifically were denied the right to vote, by law, despite having lived on this continent for tens of thousands of years, 100 years after the founding.

In 1882, Chinese citizens were barred from becoming citizens and voting, by law.

In 1920, women were granted the right to vote, but just barely, a mere 144 years after the 'founding'.

As recently as 1924, those in green could vote, but not those in red.

VOTING IS A RIGHT; NO ONE CAN TAKE IT AWAY

There are many reports of people being told they cannot vote for a wide variety of reasons.

There are many reports of voter intimidation at the polls.

Bottom line, voting is a RIGHT for all US citizens, that cannot be taken away, with very limited exceptions.

IT IS STILL NOT POSSIBLE FOR ALL US CITIZENS TO VOTE IN 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS, AS A SAD COMMENTARY ON THE STRUGGLE FOR VOTING RIGHTS IN THE USA AND THE MANY RACIST POLITICIANS WHO OPPOSE THE RIGHT TO VOTE FOR ALL AMERICANS

When you cannot vote, you have no power, and cannot hold politicians accountable.

3.5 Million US CITIZENS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE IN;

Puerto Rico
U.S. Virgin Islands
Guam
Northern Mariana Islands
American Samoa

Why is this happening in 2020?

Got racism?

Why is Congress, which is controlled by Democrats, not offering statehood to these territories?

Wikipedia; Voting rights of United States citizens in Puerto Rico, like the voting rights of residents of other United States territories, differ from those of United States citizens in each of the fifty states and the District of Columbia. Residents of Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories do not have voting representation in the United States Congress, and are not entitled to electoral votes for president. The United States Constitution grants congressional voting representation to U.S. states, which Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories are not, specifying that members of Congress shall be elected by direct popular vote and that the president and the vice president shall be elected by electors chosen by the states.[Note 1]

On December 29, 2003, The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights of the Organization of American States concluded that the United States is responsible for violations of the District of Columbia's rights under Articles II and XX of the American Declaration of the Rights and Duties of Man by denying District of Columbia citizens an effective opportunity to participate in their federal legislature.[2] On October 17, 2006, Pedro Rosselló, a former governor of Puerto Rico, and the Unfinished Business of American Democracy Committee on behalf of the approximately four million U.S. citizens residing in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, presented a petition to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights of the Organization of American States seeking the Commission's aid in obtaining enfranchisement.[3]

More than 3.5 million people live in the U.S. territories of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa, but—by design—they don’t have much political power when it comes to national politics. They hold presidential primaries and caucuses and appear in the roll calls at the Democratic and Republican national conventions, but they can’t vote in the general election, when it matters most.

It just so happens that these US government controlled territories are inhabited mainly by US citizens who happen to be minorities. They would most likely vote for more progressive politicians. If they all became states, they would each get senators and congressmen/women, and that would shift the balance of power on a national level. Could this be a reason why Republicans block the adding of more states to the US, in the form of territories? Could this blocking of new states created by former territories be all about racism, and white privilege?

WASHINGTON DC IS A DISTRICT WITH CLOSE TO 1 MILLION PEOPLE, BUT IT HAS NO SENATORS, AND NO CONGRESSMEN THAT CAN VOTE ON ANY NATIONAL ISSUES, DESPITE PAYING 20 BILLION IN TAXES

MSNBC Washington DC's more than 700,000 residents await a historic vote in the House on Friday on statehood for the nation’s capital. The issue has not been debated in Congress for 27 years.

Wikipedial; "Washington has had a significant African American population since the city's foundation.[115]

A locally elected mayor and a 13‑member council have governed the district since 1973. However, Congress maintains supreme authority over the city and may overturn local laws. D.C. residents elect a non-voting, at-large congressional delegate to the House of Representatives, but the district has no representation in the Senate. District voters choose three presidential electors in accordance with the Twenty-third Amendment to the United States Constitution, ratified in 1961.

The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that the district's population was 705,749 as of July 2019, an increase of more than 100,000 people since the 2010 United States Census.[11] This continues a growth trend since 2000, following a half-century of population decline.[109] The city was the 24th most populous place in the United States as of 2010.[110] According to data from 2010, commuters from the suburbs increase the district's daytime population to over a million.[111] If the district were a state it would rank 49th in population, ahead of Vermont and Wyoming.[112]

The district is not a state and therefore has no voting representation in Congress. D.C. residents elect a non-voting delegate to the House of Representatives (D.C. At-Large), who may sit on committees, participate in debate, and introduce legislation, but cannot vote on the House floor.

The district has no official representation in the United States Senate. Neither chamber seats the district's elected "shadow" representative or senators. Unlike residents of U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico or Guam, which also have non-voting delegates, D.C. residents are subject to all federal taxes.[215] In the financial year 2012, D.C. residents and businesses paid $20.7 billion in federal taxes; more than the taxes collected from 19 states and the highest federal taxes per capita.[216]

A 2005 poll found that 78% of Americans did not know residents of the District of Columbia have less representation in Congress than residents of the fifty states.[217] Efforts to raise awareness about the issue have included campaigns by grassroots organizations and featuring the city's unofficial motto, "Taxation Without Representation", on D.C. vehicle license plates.[218] There is evidence of nationwide approval for D.C. voting rights; various polls indicate that 61 to 82% of Americans believe D.C. should have voting representation in Congress.[217][219]

On July 9, 1790, Congress passed the Residence Act, which approved the creation of a national capital on the Potomac River. The exact location was to be selected by President George Washington, who signed the bill into law on July 16. Formed from land donated by the states of Maryland and Virginia, the initial shape of the federal district was a square measuring 10 miles (16 km) on each side, totaling 100 square miles (259 km2).[19][b]

The Twenty-third Amendment to the United States Constitution was ratified in 1961, granting the district three votes in the Electoral College for the election of president and vice president, but still no voting representation in Congress.[47]

Got taxation without representation?

Again, we have a large territory where US citizens have no Senators, No Congressmen representing them via votes in Congress or Senate, and this district happens to vote Democrat.

Could this blocking of new states created by former territories be all about racism, and white privilege?

At the very least, the people living in the district could be absorbed into existing states, so that all US Citizens have a representative, but that too has been blocked up to now.

David McMahan NO statehood, no Federal taxes. Taxation without representation was the very reason we fought a war of independence with England."

18 REASONS PEOPLE DON'T VOTE AND SOLUTIONS FOR A BROKEN ELECTIONS SYSTEM IN THE US

1. Many people think their vote does not count.

Voters believe that the Electoral College selects the President, not the actual vote count. What actually happens though is that the votes of the people in each state determine the candidate that the Electoral College then endorses for that state. This means that every vote counts, and every person should vote, because the Electoral College candidate is determined by VOTERS, not by some arbitrary process that has nothing to do with voters. Your vote is counted, unless it is stolen or changed by electronic voting machines. The way to avoid these dangers is to vote with a paper ballot, usually available for by mail voting.

2. Many people have the excuse that they are too busy to vote.

Family, work and other life events 'get in the way' of voting. Is that really an obstacle to voting, when it is possible to vote by mail these days?

All that has to be done to avoid the too busy excuse is to register to vote at some point during the year, and at the same time, ask for a permanent mail in ballot. The process of voting by mail is no more difficult than paying a bill. All it takes is a few minutes of marking a ballot with a #2 pencil, and reading a couple of paragraphs describing the issues. If a person can pay a bill, they can vote. Voting is a duty, not a privilege or an option that can be ignored.

3. Voting registration is a process that people can fear or feel intimidated by.

However, the process of registering to vote is much like the process of getting an ID card, where one simple form is filled out. The process of voting registration is actually easy and effortless, and it can be done by mail or online. Make sure you update your voter registration every time you move. Of course, in some areas, one major political party or another makes it difficult to register or vote. But that should not stop you. It should only make you that much more determined to vote, despite everything that the opposing political party does to try and stop you.

4. Apathy is probably the most common reason for not voting.

People often do not vote because they do not like the bickering and infighting or mud slinging between candidates. People believe with a lot of justification that politics is a dirty business, and they want nothing to do with it. As a result of the mud slinging, many choose to not pay attention to politics, or ignore it completely. However, those same people often complain the loudest about how bad things are, while not doing anything to make it better. Voting is just one small, simple thing that can be done to make a difference. If you do not vote, do not complain about how bad things are. Get informed about some clean and green political options, such as a political party or candidate that does not accept corporate donations.

Bernie Sanders  U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders

Please share your ideas with me. How do we make that political revolution? How do we bring people together to fight for their rights and a progressive agenda which represents the needs of all Americans, and not just the top 1 percent. Tell Bernie here:

5. Some people say they do not vote, because the 'lines are too long'.

However, when seen from the perspective of people not being able to vote AT ALL, and then many more dying to gain the RIGHT TO VOTE, standing in line for even a few hours seems like a small price to pay, wouldn't you agree?

There is also a simple and easy process to convert to a mail in ballot, permanently, so you NEVER have to stand in line, unless you WANT to do that. Register early, and ask to be put on a permanent mail in ballot. Then you vote from home, and mail your vote in when it is convenient for you. Simple, right? No more excuses.. register to vote.

6. Some people say they do not vote because they do not like the two candidates that are on the news every night.

What most people do NOT realize is there are many political candidates and choices beyond the first two that are on the nightly news 'programming'. If you do not like being programmed against your will, choose one or more of the third party candidates. For example, there are political candidates do not accept any corporate money, they don't appear on mass media TV, plus they have a platform that looks ahead seven future generations, instead of just two years. Why choose from the lesser of two evils, when there is political choice that you can vote for; with NO EVIL contained within it? Vote for the candidate that represents the greater good and is including 7 future generations. Vote out of love, not fear.

“Paid Millions To LIE??” Is THIS Why MSM Is DYING??! – YouTube

VIDEO: https://youtu.be/Ca-AjgtkpIs  13 min

As corporate news continues to lose ratings and the trust of the public, what does Brian Williams’s exit from MSNBC tell us about the future of mainstream media?

7. Some people say that they cannot get to the polling place to vote

This may have some validity if a person is sick, disabled or without transportation. It is now possible to vote early, vote by mail, or to have someone else vote for you, by signing a form that gives someone you trust the power to vote in your place. Between these many options, it is still possible to vote, even with difficult circumstances.

8. Some people say that they are traveling, so they cannot get to the polling place.

If a person is traveling, it may be an excuse for not voting, but again the same techniques already explored in the previous sections offer a way to vote. Vote early, vote by mail, or have the ballot sent to where you will be on vacation or on station in the military. There is a way to do this.

9. What if you were required to vote and if you didn't vote, you had to pay a fine?

In Australia, coming up with excuses to not vote is not an option. Did you know that Australia REQUIRES everyone to vote, or to pay a $50 fine? This fine should be $500. Australia is a democracy and freedom loving country that understands how crucially important it is to vote. They understand (as everyone should) that democracy and freedom is a responsibility plus a burden that all citizens carry. Freedom is not free. Voting may not be easy or convenient, but in a freedom loving country, voting is a moral/ethical duty and requirement. What would happen if EVERYONE was required by LAW to vote here in the USA? How would that change things? Pretend that this law exists, and that you are required to vote. It may be a more healthy way to look at the world.

10. Some people do not vote for a third party. Some people claim that voting third party will 'spoil' the vote for one of the big two party politicians.

This is another propaganda piece put out to intimidate voters and get them to toe the line, vote for a lesser evil candidate, or to end up not voting, through social pressure, mental and emotional pressure.

Remember, this is the United States of America, where everyone is FREE to vote for anyone that they want to vote for, even if it is a write in candidate not appearing on the ballot. Saying you will 'spoil' democracy unless you vote the way others do is not even rational. That is the equivalent of saying you will spoil democracy if you vote at all.

Every other civilized democracy has many political parties, and anyone who votes for a party that is other than the 'big two' has their vote counted, and then that politician gets a seat at the table of power. Why is that such a demonized idea in the US? Got Dualopoly?

Here is an example of a 'third party vote'.

Abraham Lincoln was elected as a 'third party candidate'.

Was this a 'wasted vote'?

Obviously, every person has a vote, and it is their duty to vote for the best person, no matter what happens from there.

Being scared to vote for who you really want is a justification that enables fear based voting, which is what the 1% want.

So

Why doesn't everyone just stay home and avoid spoiling the chosen winner's chances? And, of course, that is exactly what people are doing, but that is NOT a democracy or even a republic.

Voting for a chosen corporate controlled candidate is all about plutocracy or fascism, wouldn't you agree? So if you start hearing about how you 'shouldn't' spoil the vote, that is a sign of someone being chosen by forces behind the scenes, controlling people via fear producing propaganda.

Voting for the lesser evil politician instead of for someone who is not corrupted and evil is actually the best choice when voting.

Do your research and find the political candidates that do not take corrupting money from billionaires or corporations. Either that, or you are more than likely voting for a lesser evil candidate, with the negative consequences that follow due to many citizens doing that, instead of voting for the best, highest quality, non corrupted by money candidate, period.

NO VOTER AND NO POLITICAL CANDIDATE OF ANY THIRD PARTY CAN 'SPOIL' AN ELECTION; IT IS RIDICULOUS NONSENSE TO SPOUT THIS CLAPTRAP CONSPIRACY THEORY EITHER ON THE LEFT, RIGHT OR CENTER

The current fad is to vote shame or guilt someone into voting for the Dualopoly.

No voter can 'spoil' an election even if they vote for a 'third party'.

The essence of the right to vote and freedom is that you have the right, DUTY and privilege of voting for the BEST choice, not the lesser of two evils.

Why vote for evil out of fear, when you can vote for good with courage and hope?

What if you were NOT ALLOWED to vote?

Would that change your mind about voting?

In Germany, there is no vote shaming, guilting or threatening, because it is taken for granted that everyone votes for their particular candidate, who best represents their point of view. There are many politicial parties and they all get a seat at the table of power, as long as they get at least 5 percent of the vote. In the US it is a winner takes all practice, and the winner is often 'chosen' despite having a MINORITY of the votes. Democracy is not about shaming, guilting, threatening, forcing, or 'installing' losers as 'winners'.

In Germany, if people are told they will 'spoil the vote' if they vote for a candidate they love, they laugh, and pay no attention to that fearmongering propagandist.

Their political system ensures that each candidate voted for ends up in the government. The only difference is how much power they have, based on the number of votes cast. So there are a dozen political parties in Germany, and the vote is split up among all of them.

Once elected, the politicians have to form a coalition to get anything done. But this is also how the Greens came to power both locally, regionally and nationally after the 3/11 Fukushima disaster. People voted Green in large numbers and this shifted the power structure immediately, which resulted in a shut down of a monopolistic nuclear power grab.

In the US, due to the winner takes all Dualopoly structure, where third parties are not even allowed into the debates or onto TV, very few or no changes happened at all.

Isn't it kind of silly, and maybe even stupid to expect a government to work, when only 2 out of all of the above segments of the political spectrum are represented in government? No wonder the American government system is totally and completely corrupt and broken..

IN 1780, A GROUP OF FREED BLACK MEN PETITIONS FOR THE RELIEF OF HAVING TO PAY TAXES UNTIL THEY GET THE RIGHT TO VOTE

One of the rights in the Constitution and Bill Of Rights is the right of freedom of speech, and along with that, the right to petition the government.

Imagine what it would feel like, if you were forced to pay taxes, but you did not have the right or option to vote.

You did not like the decisions a politician was making but you knew there was nothing you could do about it.

You realized that all of your power and rights were at the mercy of other people who decided your fate.

Ina Pinkney #OTD in 1780, a group of free black men, including merchant-mariner Paul Cuffee, petitioned the MA state legislature for relief from taxes until they were given the right to vote. IC: @NMAAHC

It was not that long ago that women, slaves, and Indians did not have the right to vote, or were not counted as 'full' citizens.

Don't take the right to vote for granted.

Anyone who chooses not to vote, is essentially making themselves like a slave, with no rights, no power and no future.

Don't be a slave.

Don't give away your power to the 1 percent.

Don't let democracy slip away due to apathy.

Don't let freedoms and rights be extinguished due to not voting.

DISENFRANCHISED VOTERS; HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE VOLUNTARILY JOINING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AND FELONS, WHO ARE NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE BY LAW?

Remember that the only people not allowed to vote in the US include approximately 10 million illegal aliens and 5.8 million felons, plus anyone under age 18.

About 4 million people who are US citizens living in US territories also cannot vote in the Presidential election and they have no representatives, either in the Congress or the Senate. Got racism? If they all became states, and had senators plus congressmen, the balance of power would shift dramatically. The only way minor parties like the RNC can keep on winning is by not allowing people to vote and not allowing these territories to become states.

U.S. presidential election popular vote totals as a percentage of the total U.S. population. Note the surge in 1828 (extension of suffrage to non-property-owning white men), the drop from 1890-1910 (when Southern states disenfranchised most African Americans and many poor whites), and another surge in 1920 (extension of suffrage to women). Note also that this chart represents the number of votes cast as a percentage of total population, and does not compare either of those quantities with the percentage of the population that was eligible to vote.

The multiple groups above are NOT allowed to vote, so these groups really do have a valid reason for NOT voting; THEY CAN'T VOTE, unlike you. What do these groups have in common? They are minorities for the most part, and that is also the target of gerrymandering and many other techniques used to keep minorities from voting.

Why are the southern states not electing minority candidates across the board to government positions of power when their voting base consists of a majority of minorities? It turns out that the voter suppression techniques used by the Dualopoly keeps white rich men in power and keeps poor minority representatives out of government, and in the slums.

The ruling white, old, rich elite 'class' who keep a strangle hold on power via things like gerrymandering and blocking people from voting love to see you just like an illegal alien or a convicted felon, and that is what happens, when you don't vote.

5.8 million felons and illegal aliens cannot vote by law, but they wish that they could. Countries like Norway allow all felons to vote, so why doesn't the US? Got racism? Do you like having big money and players behind the scenes choose for you, who you are going to vote for? If not, then VOTE against that, by choosing candidates not backed by racist billionaires, and corrupting corporate money. Isn't that how and why this country was established into the form it is now? The Founding fathers did not set up political parties. There were no political parties at the supposed beginning of what is now called the USA.

Which political party does not want anyone other than white people to vote? Republicans.

There is a problem with ex-felons not being allowed to vote. "The vast majority of these disenfranchised adults have been released from prison. Sentencing Project researchers found more than 4 million Americans who cannot cast a ballot because they're on probation or parole, or live in a state that withholds the right to vote from all ex-felons.

Why can felons vote in countries like Norway, but not in the US?

Who ever came up with this idea to exclude MILLIONS of American citizens from voting via wide set of rules and laws?

Why can an 17 year old buy a military weapon firing 600 rounds per minute without any ID as easily as a cup of coffee in many states, but they cannot vote?

WHEN ORDINARY PEOPLE DON'T VOTE, THAT LEAVES THE WEALTHY MINORITY LIKE BILLIONAIRES WITH THAT MUCH MORE CONTROL AND ABSOLUTE POWER

"This is a fundamental question of democracy," said the Sentencing Project's executive director Marc Mauer. "These policies go back to the founding of this country. [The U.S.] was founded as a great experiment in democracy, but was very limited. Wealthy, white male landowners granted themselves the right to vote, but women, poor people, Indians, African Americans and people with felony convictions could not vote."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/12/felon-voting-laws-disenfranchise-sentencing-project_n_1665860.html

Why were there no women, African Americans, Native Americans or other minorities in the room when the 'Founders' got together and wrote the documents we now hold so dear?

Why was it only racist, white supremacist, rich, usually older men in that room?

And why were they given 'special' privileges, when the Constitution clearly said the exact opposite of this?

Got white privilege, racism, and white supremacy?

THE RIGHT TO VOTE WAS FOUGHT FOR AND MANY PEOPLE SUFFERED AND DIED TO GET THAT RIGHT; DON'T THROW IT ON THE TRASH HEAP

The right to vote was acquired at great cost of many lives and great suffering by the poor, by brave women, by Native Americans and by people of color. Why would you throw this right and freedom away? Do you want to hand the election to the wealthy minority, the 1%? If you do, don't vote, because that is what THEY want you to do. The only thing that stands in their way of gaining absolute power, are voters like you.

When women tried to vote back in the good ol days, this is what happened....

If you want to be like people living in terror of punishment under dictatorships, with no right to vote, and no choice of candidates other than the dictator, by all means, quit voting.

If you want to be like those quivering in fear under the thumb of despotic regimes such as Qatar, where free voting is NOT allowed, go ahead and do not vote. Do not be surprised when things do not go the way you want. Remember, every vote counts, and your vote is crucially important, especially on a local level. You will certainly not 'spoil' anything or anyone, if you vote exactly the way you want to vote.

Do not let people intimidate you into not voting.

11. Some people say that voting does not matter, because their ONE vote will not swing the result one way or the other.

The only problem with this is that many state elections have swung one way or the other based on a few votes, a couple of hundred votes or in the case of a Presidential election, a few thousand votes.

The problem with this thinking is that MANY people think this way, so the problem is not just one person's vote that is lacking, it is MILLIONS of people who think and act this way. MILLIONS of people voting can make a HUGE difference, as most campaigns are extremely close one way or the other.

The 1 percent and huge corporations that do not want you to vote are HOPING that you stay home, because their chance of getting a paid off corporate backed candidate into office increases if you stay home and don't vote. The ONLY thing standing in their way is you. going out and voting.

12. Some people say they quit voting, because there is no free will.

Especially with local campaigns, even third parties can win very easily, if in a local campaign all third party registered voters actually come out and vote. People typically do NOT vote because they 'believe' that their vote will not count for anything, anywhere, even in a local election.

As a result, their fear actually comes true, because when they do not vote, their worst fear is actually realized... their vote is NOT counted, so they truly and justifiably feeling helpless, frustrated and angry.

What happens after you and many others don't vote and the election is lost to a corporate backed candidate who is put into office with only 9% of voters turning up to vote?

Primary elections are even more important than the general election, so if you are going to vote in only one out of the two, show up for the primary election.

13. NOT VOTING IN THE US, IS THE EQUIVALENT OF GOING TO COMMUNIST CHINA, WHERE THERE IS ONLY ONE CHOICE, THE COMMUNIST PARTY, WHICH MEANS THERE IS NOT RIGHT TO VOTE, BECAUSE THERE ARE NO CHOICES

Remember that in Communist China, there is only ONE party, the Communist Party, so people voting there really have no choice at all.

There are no rights, no freedoms, no diversity of opinion and no free press or dissidents. If you want something like Communist China here in the US, don't vote.

In China, if you stand up and speak out against the government, you go to jail or your disappeared permanently. Students who protested for democracy a few years ago, were shot or run over by tanks.

The corporations controlling things behind the scenes will make sure that the US eventually ends up just like Communist China, because they run things there, just like they do here. They want absolute power and control and they are rapidly getting there, because of people who don't even bother to vote.

Ever wonder why you don't hear any more news about the war on Communism? Guess what... they won. The Communists teamed up with the huge globalist corporations and they are now well on the way to taking over the world from the inside out.

At least in America, there is a choice, and there are 3rd parties, despite them being marginalized and suppressed by the Dualopoly.

Abraham Lincoln ran as a third party candidate and won. What changed since then? Why is voting for a third party candidate now seen by many people as a 'wasted vote'?

Why do most people vote out of fear and for evil or more evil, instead of with love and for the greater good?

14. Some people believe all political candidates are bought off by corporations, so why bother voting, because the votes have already been bought and sold.

People who hold that belief are actually correct in a way.

There is oddly enough even MORE reason for voting because the Dualopoly is made and created for corporations. But the solution is not voting within the broken system, out of fear. Whatever we focus on with fear grows, and that includes political candidates. If we vote out of fear, that fear grows.

WHY I’M CHOOSING PEACE AND VOTING JILL STEIN FOR PRESIDENT
In the Feb. 16 episode of Chris Hedges’ podcast “Days of Revolt,”

Jill Stein declared: “The lesser evil paves the way to the greater evil. It’s not in opposition to it. It makes way for it.”

Indeed, the two-party system only provides an illusion of choice. The Democratic Party and Republican Party are two variations of a single, war-driven, Wall Street-funded political party. Even candidates presented as alternatives and outsiders keep surprisingly close to mainstream party politics.Currently, both parties’ presumptive nominees have declared their intentions to keep America’s deadly and destructive foreign policy largely in tact, from supporting assassination by drones and financial and providing military support for apartheid Israel’s occupation of Palestine to selling weapons to nations like Saudi Arabia and Qatar that export terrorism around the world.

“There is no greater waste of a vote than to keep voting for the two political parties that are throwing you under the bus,” Stein told me in an interview last July.

When the Dualopoly system is so rigged and corrupt that even the primaries end up creating supposed 'winners' out of losers, it is time for peaceful revolution; via voting outside of this rigged  Dualopoly system. The answer is not to quit voting, but to vote INTELLIGENTLY, so that the most corrupt political parties do not get your support.

They key to voting and not wasting that vote, is to vote for someone outside of the corrupted circle of corporate money and greed. As it turned out, Trump turned out to be a great liar and con artist. He promised to be on the side of the 99 percent but then turned right around and is on the side of the 1 percent on every issue and law. Remember, he is a 1 percenter billionaire, but he is a great con artist and got many people to believe that he was just like the common guy on the street who had no money at all.

16. Some people say; I would rather have a King or dictator and let him decide everything, so I will not bother to vote until a King is installed or a dictator takes power via a coup.

Many people have been convinced to vote for the 1 percent, who are all rich, because they 'deserve' to be in charge. Well, that experiment has been going on for thousands of years, as one king or despot has been put in power for life, after another. The thing about kings is that they don't allow free choice, voting, or democracy.

Remember that the Divine Right Of Kings to decide on everything and  on everyone's fate, used to mean that only the KING COULD VOTE. No one else could vote, ever. If someone refuses to vote, they are essentially saying that they want a KING or dictator to decide everything, like back in the 'good old days' when Kings were GOD, and their ruling was the same as if GOD was talking. Their decision could not be challenged, dissented with, and protest was not allowed.

Wikipedia; The divine right of kings, divine right, or God's mandate is a political and religious doctrine of royal and political legitimacy. It asserts that a monarch is subject to no earthly authority, deriving the right to rule directly from the will of God. The king is thus not subject to the will of his people, the aristocracy, or any other estate of the realm. It implies that only God can judge an unjust king and that any attempt to depose, dethrone or restrict his powers runs contrary to the will of God and may constitute a sacrilegious act.

Anyone who dared to disagree with the King was either jailed, tortured, and/or killed. Many millions of people suffered and died to get the right to vote, and the Kings resisted the demand for a people's vote, until they could not resist any longer.

Why throw all of your rights and freedoms away that have taken thousands of years to gain with much death and suffering involved, and give some dictator, despot or King absolute authority over you, your future and your children all the way into 70 future generations?

Power corrupts.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

If you think that the corruption is bad now, just wait until voting is not allowed anymore, and a single despotic King decides by Divine Right on your future, because not enough people showed up and bothered to vote in opposition to such a proposal.

17. Some people decided that they did not want grant any legitimacy to a corrupt government, so they refused to vote, and stopped resisting the corrupt 1 percent.

Voting creates a contractual relationship. In exchange for the right to vote, the voter confers legitimacy on the resulting government. Voters grant the election winners the right to act on their behalf. The government speaks in the name of all, not just those who favored the victors. Friends in the eighteenth century realized one implication of voting was that when the resulting government waged war, it was entitled to act in the name of all those who voted. Every voter bore an equal share of guilt for the blood spilled. To Friends, voting ensnared them in an inherently violent and corrupt system. Complete withdrawal seemed the only acceptable option.

The other side of the above theory of not participating in order not to be guilty of the blood being shed, is that the corrupted system does not fix itself without an outside force, such as a new corruption free political party, which then grows and takes the place of the corrupted ones via brave people such as the Quakers voting for it. By refusing to vote even for a third party, a citizen based initiative, and by not pursuing any voting based answer or solutions, it tends to ensure that corruption continues and grows.

RESIST Tyranny. Speak out. VOTE!

Vote only for those who do not support never ending wars, especially if you are a pacifist, as almost all Quakers are. The Green Party does not support never ending war, making weapons of war, or waging war on foreign nations via unconstitutional invasions, coups, or occupations.

18. Some people claim that Heaven on Earth is only possible by not voting

From its earliest days, the Society of Friends saw itself as called to an alternative way of living—to model what they called the kingdom of heaven on earth. The Quaker community testified that people should treat all others as vessels for that of God. It demonstrated that a society did not have to be founded on violence and coercion. When people follow the guidance of the Inward Light as best they are able, they become servants of the one God and together form the blessed community. Voting would subordinate them to the authority of the state—they would be serving two masters: God and the government.

Heaven on Earth consists of the Oneness, not a separate God, government, and a few chosen special people. The Oneness is everyone and everything. There is no way to have Heaven on Earth while choosing not to participate in the wider world via direct activism, service, and/or voting. All of these things are important, but to leave out one of them arbitrarily, doesn't quite work, since that would be fragmenting the world, and then it is no longer ONE body.

Choosing wisely by voting only for those candidates that represent as closely as possible the ideals and values embodied by those living a life which can be called Heaven On Earth, would seem to be the ideal scenario, wouldn't you agree?

At the same time, refusing to give power and votes to the corrupt darkness also makes sense, at the same time. If there are no viable pro 99 percent candidates, leave that box blank or write in a candidate, because that is your RIGHT and POWER, as a representative of Heaven On Earth.

Seeing government as 'outside' and 'foreign' or evil, is missing the mark. Government is by and for the people. Leaders are 'elected' even within small meetings, groups and churches, so should they also be called 'evil' and 'foreign'. A larger community, state, and federal government is still staffed by people, not by Kings. Voting affects who gets into those offices.

Conspiracy groups tend to see all government as evil and despotic, even under the best of circumstances and with the best people possible in office. Would Bernie Sanders be part of this 'evil' government or not?

If not, why not?

Didn't Bernie Sanders get into office by people voting for him, despite him being a candidate that accepted no corporate money?

The 1 percent are actively suppressing the voting public, because they know that their power is limited and controlled by the 99 percent voting for candidates such as Bernie Sanders, or Dr. Jill Stein MD, for example. But to vote for pure candidates that take no corrupting money takes research and an informed voter, who is not voting out of fear.

BILLIONAIRES AT THE TOP OF HUGE GLOBALIST CORPORATIONS CONTROL MOST OF AMERICAN MASS MEDIA AND POLITICAL SYSTEM, BUT NOT THE VOTING PROCESS OR YOUR MIND

They way that 'losers' get elected is via massive media exposure and constant non stop media attacks on anyone who opposes the 'chosen' one.

Many people operate from a basis of fear, so the mass media uses this fear to divide and control people, including their voting 'choices'.

Fear plus hatred creates a prison of the mind that is much better than any physical prison, because that person does not try and escape, plus he/she loves their jail keeper/oppressor.

Many people do not use critical thinking skills to choose a candidate; they use emotion and 30 second sound bites to make their choice.

Identifying the correct ROOT source  or causes of a problem, is more than half of the battle. But that problem can be solved.

Don't vote for any political candidate that takes corporate money. The corporations want to scare people away from politicians taking union money, but who do unions represent? Middle class workers.

Incomes are shrinking in America, especially in the former middle class, as the 1 percent keeps on dividing and conquering, plus exporting union jobs overseas. All of this is 'good news' and is relabed as 'free trade agreements' via the corporate owned mass media, which only presents a corporate friendly view of the world.

The mass media does not show the 99 percent viewpoint, their protests or their political candidates.

The mass media presents lies as truth, fake science as real science and has more taboos about what cannot be talked about than any cult religion.

When people believe lies plus swallow propaganda, they will also attack and vilify anyone telling the truth, because truth tellers then become 'terrorists' or 'extremists'.

Many people cast their vote based on misinformation, propaganda, deception and corporate mass media corruption. Are their votes wasted? This basic voting system corruption has existed for as long as their have been very powerful people in control at the top of a huge pyramid of power. The secret is learning how to bypass this basic corruption and vote OUTSIDE of it, for someone who has not been corrupted, bought off, and souled out.

And that is where the research on candidates comes back around. Just marking boxes without knowing anything about the candidates, their voting record or their values, much less who gives them money, basically creates either a corrupted vote, or a wasted vote.

THE HISTORY OF VOTING RIGHTS FOR WOMEN AND NATIVE AMERICANS: ONLY A VERY SMALL OLD WHITE RICH MEN MINORITY OF THE POPULATION IN THE US HAD THE RIGHT TO VOTE UNTIL NOT TOO LONG AGO

Did you know that not too long ago, very large proportions of the US population could not vote? After the Constitution was signed, basically only rich white men with property had the RIGHT to vote. This was the beginning of what is called racism and white privilege in the US.

How racist was the US when it was 'founded'? Tens of millions of Native Americans could not vote in this colonial occupation, which did not allow them to vote in their own country which they had been living in and 'owned' for tens of thousands of years.

These original FIRST PEOPLE were not allowed to fully vote in the US until 1948.

Racism and white supremacy is deeply embedded in the very fabric of this nation, and it will be difficult to even see it, much less do anything about it, because this systemic racism is so invisible and unconscious.

In that supposedly 'new' beginning, there were NO POLITICAL PARTIES, just individuals competing for votes.

After parties were formed, they shifted and changed names, dropped out and went through births and deaths.

But that does not happen anymore, as the pro corporate Dualopoly has taken over and keeps out any third party through a variety of methods.

Women did not have the right to vote for example until fairly recently. This means that 50% of the population COULD NOT LEGALLY VOTE. Now add in slaves, those with felony convictions, Indians and non property owners plus indentured servants and the number of people who could vote back then was miniscule. It took brave women standing up for women's rights such as Susan B. Anthony to get the right to vote. She and many other women paid a heavy price to get the right to vote, so don't throw it away.

WOMEN DID NOT GET EVEN THE BASIC RIGHT TO VOTE IN THE US UNTIL 1920, BUT HOW MANY WOMEN DON'T VOTE TODAY, BECAUSE THEY THINK THEIR VOTE IS 'WASTED'

Wikipedia; "Women's suffrage in the United States, the legal right of women to vote in that country, was established over the course of several decades, first in various states and localities, sometimes on a limited basis, and then nationally in 1920. The demand for women's suffrage began to gather strength in the 1840s, emerging from the broader movement for women's rights. In 1848, the Seneca Falls Convention, the first women's rights convention, passed a resolution in favor of women's suffrage despite opposition from some of its organizers, who believed the idea was too extreme. By the time of the first National Women's Rights Convention in 1850, however, suffrage was becoming an increasingly important aspect of the movement's activities.

People take their right to vote for granted.

Take this right to vote very seriously...

WHAT YOU CAN DO; RESEARCH THE VOTING HISTORY OF YOUR CANDIDATE?

Study the candidates and their positions plus plans and beliefs, plus their voting history.

A brand new application - called Visible Vote [iTunes link], made for iPhone, Blackberry and Facebook - allows users to track their representatives' voting records, find out where they stand on the issues - and even send an e-mail to let them know exactly how they're doing.

What will they do if they get into office?

Is your candidate backed by corporate money or billionaires?

Who is donating to their campaign?

Which super PACS are the candidates associated with?

Look into campaign contributions of your candidate. Where do the candidates get the funds to finance their campaigns? Do they use their own money or raise funds from a few wealthy donors, from many small contributors or from Political Action Committees? (PACs, as they are known, are groups formed to raise and distribute money to candidates.) Many types of information about campaign contributions must be reported to the government and are watched by the press. Check the newspaper for stories on campaign finance or go online to www.opensecrets.org. How might these campaign contributions affect the candidates’ conduct in office? You might also want to analyze an incumbent’s voting record on issues important to PACs and other campaign contributors.

Who 'owns' the candidate?

It is not a good idea to vote for someone just because they belong to a political party, or because they are an actor on TV, or because they are a famous TV personality, or that they are rich billionaires.

WHAT YOU CAN DO; IF YOU ARE AGE 17, YOU SHOULD REGISTER TO VOTE, AND THEN VOTE AT AGE 18 AND EVERY YEAR AFTER THAT, IN ALL ELECTIONS

The right to vote is a sacred duty, honor and power. Everyone should be taking this right very seriously. This article goes into all of the reasons why people don't vote, and dispels the misinformation around all of those excuses.

Bottom line, if you are age 18 or older, you should be registered and voting EVERY year. No excuses.

Just like any skill, one gets 'better' at voting over time, due to repetition. Swimming is a skill that improves with practice, and so does voting.

Voting 'skill' also improves with an increase in learning, knowledge and watching the results of voting for a particular candidate, compared to another one.

Researching candidates and their voting record to match values and positions is also important. Those who don't vote, or more often than not ruled by their inferiors.

GREEN PARTY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE JILL STEIN ON VOTING WITH COURAGE, INSTEAD OF GIVING UP IN DEFEAT/CYNICISM; THE PRICE FOR INDIFFERENCE/CYNICISM IS TO BE RULED BY EVIL PEOPLE AND DARK FORCES

What is the green party supporting in 2020?

A WOMAN RAN FOR PRESIDENT OF THE US IN 2016, BUT NO MASS MEDIA REPORTED ON THIS, NOR DID ANY GIVE HER ANY AIR TIME

Green Party Presidential Candidate Jill Stein Takes Caller Questions on C Span

Not voting is giving permission for evil men to practice their evil, with full consent. Voting can be a statement of values, of priorities, of conscience, and even of revolution, when a system is corrupt enough.

ONLY 37% OF VOTERS PARTICIPATED IN 2010 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS, ONLY 50% IN 2016; CAN A DEMOCRACY EVEN EXIST WITH SO FEW PEOPLE PARTICIPATING AND THROWING AWAY THEIR RIGHTS PLUS FREEDOMS? ONLY 19 PERCENT ELECTED TRUMP..

There are many reasons why millions of people choose NOT to vote in the USA. According to InfoPlease, those reasons together added up to a total of 235 million voters who were eligible to vote. However, only 37% turned out to actually vote for ANYONE in the 2010 Presidential election, for a total of 90 million voters.

Remember that out of all of the voters who could vote, only a small minority of 19 million voters ended up electing Trump as President, and that only happened due to the Electoral College.

Year  Total # Voters     Actual #    Voters
2010**235,809,266NA90,682,96837.8%

Bottom line, the 1% is in control because most people don't vote, or they vote for the candidates that the 1 percent rig up. They are counting on you not showing up and voting. They work hard to get people NOT TO VOTE, especially minorities, because that means they win. And if people vote for the candidates backed by corporate money, that means they win also..

Voting your values is the only non violent way out, through informed voters, not fooled by the mass media, not voting out of fear, and not giving up.

THE ONE PERCENT ARE PASSING LAWS MAKING IT HARDER TO VOTE, ALLOWING FEWER PEOPLE TO VOTE, VIA THINGS LIKE GERRYMANDERING

There is a MASSIVE effort and tons of money being put into passing laws that make it harder to vote. Why is this being done? Who is behind this massive effort?

Remember that historically, only rich white men could vote in the US. Women, slaves and Indians were not even allowed to vote. If anything, a true democracy makes it easier to vote, not harder. A true democracy allows more people to vote, not less. A true democracy informs voters about all of their choices and trains them to vote with FULL knowledge and preparation, instead of via mass media propaganda.

What does a gerrymandered voting district look like?

HOW ABOUT MAKING ELECTION DAY A NATIONAL HOLIDAY, SO THAT EVERYONE HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO VOTE?

Another way voters are kept away from voting is by scheduling the vote on a work day, when poor people are not 'allowed' to take time off of work to go work, by their conservative bosses. These conservative bosses, landlords and militia may even threaten them if they do take time off, or if they vote the 'wrong' way.

There a dozens of ways that voters are suppressed, intimidated, threatened and not counted. But it is important to VOTE ANYWAY.

MILLIONS OF VOTERS ARE BEING PURGED FROM THE VOTING ROLLS, WHY?

Millions of voters are being purged from the voting roles and are never notified.

Then those voters show up to vote, and are told that they are not registered to vote, so they cannot vote.

Why is this being done?

Don't let them purge you.

https://www.agreenroadjournal.com/2012/06/bill-moyers-how-to-own-elections.html

POLITICS IS LIFE, LIFE IS POLITICS; THERE IS A HIGH PRICE TO BE PAID FOR IGNORING AND NOT PARTICIPATING IN LIFE

Politicians are people, who represent other people. Groups of people gather together to form 'political' groups, which then form alliances. This has happened throughout human history.

What if we no longer called it politics? What if we called it 'your life'? Then would you be interested?
“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.” -Plato

Part of the problem with people not voting is that they are stuck in normalcy bias, denial or cognitive dissonance. When someone is stuck, nothing changes, and things get worse, not better. How do we get 'unstuck'? That is in part, what this article is about.

There are many ways to get 'unstuck', and move out of voting due to fear, denial, and normalcy bias.

DENIAL AND NORMALCY BIAS IS WHAT THE ONE PERCENT USE TO RULE THE 99 PERCENT

If anything, these very low voting numbers are getting worse and going down, not up. Most people are completely, totally, frustrated and angry at the current political situation, and that is a fact, which cannot be disputed. Many people are fed up with the politics as usual and the polarization of the two parties. These things are a given fact. There is no mystery as to why Congress only got a 7% approval rating in polls done nationwide.

VOTERS TIRED OF TWO PARTY SCAM THAT REPRESENTS ONLY CORPORATIONS, THERE ARE NOW MORE REGISTERED INDEPENDENTS THAN REGISTERED DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS

Voters are tired of the 2-party scam. There are now more Independents than Democrats or Republicans by a HUGE number.

Why is there no Independent candidate or political party?

Why are is the Independent party completely ignored, despite the fact that it is LARGER than either Democrats or Republicans?

Why are ALL third parties ignored, suppressed and kicked around by the Dualopoly?

Maybe it is something to do with the fact that just about every person who belongs to the Dualopoly is controlled, managed and brought to power by the 1%, which represents the largest corporations in the world?

A nation will not survive morally or economically when so few have so much, while so many have so little. Sen. Bernie Sanders

The Dualopoly today represents corporations, not people.

Anyone who keeps voting for the Dualopoly is wasting their vote and making things worse.

Every vote for the Dualopoly is a vote for corporations increasing their stranglehold on power.

As long as the two 'minority' parties can hold onto power by convincing everyone to not vote for anyone else, they will do so.

Behind the scenes, the huge corporations that run these two parties are laughing all the way to the bank as they keep everyone afraid enough to keep voting for the 'lesser evil', through fear.

What if the US had a larger number of political parties and every party got a seat the table of power in Congress/Senate?

Here is what the elections in Germany looked like in 2017. Even the Neo Nazis have their own 'party'.

In the US, Neonazis are 50 percent of the politics, because they have taken over the Republican political party.. If there were many political party voting choices, this could not happen. But because the Dualopoly exists and excludes all third parties, a few billionaires can largely influence and control BOTH political parties, via 'bribes', lobbying, PAC contributions, gerrymandering, and purging of voters, plus billionaire owned mass media coverage of their 'darling' billionaire approved candidate.

AVALANCHES OF CORPORATE AND LIBERTARIAN BILLIONAIRE MONEY BEFORE AND DURING ELECTIONS HAS FORCED JUST ABOUT EVERY DUALOPOLY POLITICIAN INTO ONE CORNER OF ONE SMALL BOX

Democrats and Republicans both represent an authoritarian (force-based) version of a more-or-less regulated Capitalist economic system.

Democrats pretty much abandoned the leftist ideas of Roosevelt’s New Deal in 1968, when they told young leftist, anti-war, and civil rights activists to get stuffed and lost to Nixon by shifting to the center. Turnout — nationally & among young people — has been decreasing ever since.

The neoliberal policies of the “new democrats” don’t feel like a meaningful alternative to the republican strain of more-or-less authoritarian capitalism — or, at least, it isn’t meaningful enough to mobilize the unemployed, indebted young people, people of color, and others who are exploited by it.

Obviously, this is not a reason to quit voting. It is actually a call to 'balance' this very obvious and blatant attempt to manufacture a fascist corporate owned monopoly from top to bottom and side to side. The answer is to register and vote for a political party that takes no corporate money, such as the Green Party, or one like it.

WHAT IS A WASTED VOTE?

Via PJ OCTOBER 14, 2016  Voting for a third party isn't wasting your vote

Your Vote for a Third Party Candidate Won’t Be a Waste

Are Votes on Third Parties Wasted?

The wasted vote myth

No, Voting Third Party Is Not A Wasted Vote

The way things change in a totally corrupted Dualopoly is for enough people to be brave enough to vote for a CLEAN CORRUPTION FREE third party, which grows naturally as a result. As the huge totally corrupted political parties lose registered voters and votes, they lose power and collapse from within in a natural cycle, just like everything in Nature, which is born, matures, decays and then dies.

Trying to prop up a corrupt Dualopoly via registering with one of them, and then voting for all of their candidates 'just because', is like pretending that a dead elephant lying in the living room is not only alive, but is performing hard work for the circus which is in town.

IS IT TIME FOR A PEACEFUL REVOLUTION YET?

A wasted vote is voting in the same corrupted, old, white, racist, white supremacist politicians who have been there for decades, and who have very low approval rating.

So why do these people who end up with a 93% disapproval rating keep getting elected? The primary reason is because of all of those people who are so frustrated and cynical, no longer vote.

That means that the 7% of people who DO like the people in Congress make up a huge share of the remaining voters, and they keep on getting in. But given the current rotten situation, maybe they are actually so fed up that they are ready for a revolution.

PEACEFUL REVOLUTIONS CAN AND DO HAPPEN, VOTING IS ONE WAY REVOLUTIONS HAPPEN, BUT THERE ARE MANY OTHER WAYS

One way that a 'slow' revolution can happen is if enough people vote third party. Historically, this is how Abraham Lincoln was elected.

But beyond these given facts, this article asks; how many reasons are there for NOT voting? Do these reasons have merit? Are there some solutions to problems or issues around voting and the ultra low 7% approval rating for Congress? Also, what are the consequences of not voting?

Bottom line, maybe it is time to quit tinkering with the voting issues and do some root cause problem solving, via a peaceful revolution.
Our job is to make a political revolution. Our job is to educate and organize so that working people fight for their rights and for their dignity, and are actively participating in the political process. When we do that, when we stand together, we win: Health care for all, a fair distribution of wealth and income, a major federal jobs program, higher wages, reversing global warming and real campaign finance reform. Sen. Bernie Sanders

Participating, organizing and taking action is the key.. Voting is just the last step in the process.

SOLUTION: VOTE ONLY FOR CANDIDATES THAT DO NOT ACCEPT CORPORATE MONEY

Voting for the Dualopoly means that any person doing this has blood and corruption on their hands.

The answer and solution to this problem that is present in the Dualopoly (Democrat and Republican Party) is to vote ONLY for local, state and federal candidates that do not accept corporate money, and those candidates do exist, but you have to look for them on your own.

Which candidate represents the PEOPLE, not corporations?

The mass media will never present them to you, because it will only show you what is good for corporations, not what is good for you or your community. It is important to vote in order to express your courage, your belief and your opinion about how strongly you feel about this particular freedom and democracy corrupting issue.

SOLUTION: DON'T REGISTER OR VOTE FOR THE DUALOPOLY, REGISTER WITH ANOTHER POLITICAL PARTY

If you do register and vote for a Democrat or a Republican, you are voting to support the corruption by corporations who control those political parties with 'donations' and an army of corporate lobbyists that swarm them every day. The situation on all levels will get worse, because both of those parties are controlled by huge corporate money. It really does not matter very much who you vote for in the Dualopoly, because no matter what they promise up front to get your vote, the money behind the scenes is what controls them and pulls their actions in the opposite direction after they get elected, just like President Obama, Trump, Bush, or future presidents running for office and accepting corporate or billionaire money.

The graphic below shows how rigged the Dualopoly system is. When two minority parties can 'win' every time, against a huge majority, and the majority party has almost ZERO candidates, that is common sense proof positive that the whole system is rigged against anyone else getting in on the 'game'. The way to fight back is to get out of the rigged system and register with a third party, and to vote that way as well.

If you refuse to vote due to corporations taking over the political, media and educational venues, guess who wins?

The huge globalist corporations and monopolies win when you do not vote... Corporations do not want people like you voting, especially if you are aware of their corrupt crookedness and/or criminal behaviour.

By not voting, the corporations get to divide and conquer the sheeple who do end up voting for the Dualopoly, where corporations have taken over pretty much everything. Corporations love cynical people like George Carlin, because then they can continue to control things from behind the curtain, like the Wizard of Oz, which featured an old man behind the curtains, pulling strings to scare Dorothy and her friends into doing what he told them to do.. ....

Even when a Democrat like Sanders runs for office, he is attacked plus 'purged' within his own party, because he is not 'owned' or controlled by the huge corporations that 'own' all of the other politicians. No President can get elected these days without selling out to the billionaires and huge corporate interests that control the US government at this point.

SOLUTION; AUTOMATIC VOTER REGISTRATION AT AGE 18, FOR EVERYONE

With one-quarter to one-third of eligible voters unregistered to vote and many more prevented from casting their ballots by archaic registration systems, automatic registration is an idea whose time has come.

Former Secretary Clinton's proposal has many benefits. According to elections expert Michael Waldman of the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law:

"Automatic, permanent registration as Clinton proposes would add up to 50 million to the rolls. It would cost less than today's paper-clogged system. And it would curb the potential for fraud. Amid rising political inequality and declining voter interest, this could give the ailing political system a much-needed jolt of citizen energy."

Help energize American democracy and ensure that the voice of the people is heard. Sign this petition and tell your Senators and Representative that you support automatic voter registration for eligible voters 18 and older.

SOLUTION: DON'T BE A TERMINAL CYNIC AND GIVE UP, BECAUSE THAT IS TOO EASY

Now for a bit of cynical humor about voting, with George Carlin.... People like George have given up. Watch George talk about and describe terminal cynics. Have you met someone like this recently?

George Carlin; terminal cynic
VIDEO: http://youtu.be/wigDHjEwPuE 3 min.

Cynics are bitter, callous and no longer care what happens, and are unwilling to lift a finger to make a difference. They have even given up on themselves, and are just waiting to die. They are like the walking dead; like zombies. Non voting cynics are like walking talking zombies... they are dead, but just don't know it yet. Voting is the least a person can do. Quitting is not an answer. Fatalism is not an answer. Getting involved and fighting for what you believe in and never giving up is honorable and worth doing, no matter what.

You are like a nail, and for lack of your participation, the war is being lost. All hands need to be on deck and starting getting involved, by fighting the good fight. Just one person fighting does not turn the tide of battle.

Just a few people voting does not make a democracy.

To get people out voting and not wasting their vote on a corrupted, souled out candidate will take plenty of people teaching the science of sustainable health, via AGR.

Denmark did not get to this level of 89 percent of their people voting just by complaining and doing nothing. The Dualopoly has dismantled American unions so that very few are left, so the challenge in that direction is HUGE as well.

SOLUTION: VOTE FOR POLITICIANS WHO SUPPORT UNIONS, AND WORKERS, RATHER THAN BILLIONAIRES AND HUGE GLOBALIST CORPORATION TYRANNY

Unions are not the enemy, as Denmark and Iceland union members can testify.

SOLUTION: VOTE FOR WHO YOU WANT, NOT FOR WHO YOU ARE TOLD TO VOTE FOR, OUT OF FEAR OR FOR THE PROFIT MOTIVE

Remember to vote for who YOU really want, rather than out of fear, cynicism, frustration, anger, trying to go along with the crowd, getting along with the boss, or whatever other shallow reasons. Taking part in a peaceful revolution is also the responsibility of citizens in any country.

Never vote for the lesser evil. Voting for the lesser evil is what got the US into the mess it is in.

Never give up. Bottom line, that is one lesson to be learned. No matter how bad it looks, never give up.

Hopefully you will be creating your own Green Road, by blazing a trail and finding a GREEN slate of politicians on the ballot. Unless someone is holding a gun to your head and watching which hole you poke or which button you push, you have a free will choice, correct? You may have to do a bit of research the first time around and find out who is not taking corporate money, but you will find the politicians that represent YOU, not the corporations; and those politicians do exist. Seek them out and you shall find them. Knock on that door and it will be opened.

"Do not follow the wide freeway. Instead, create a path through the wood, so that others may follow you on a Green Road."

There are solutions for all problems.

Get out there and VOTE. Be brave, be courageous, be fearless, and stay in your heart. Be a proud, winning leader of a new movement that is based on a vision of a better future for seven future generations, without causing harm.

SOLUTION: VOTE GREEN EVERY TIME, NO MATTER WHAT

Vote GREEN.. It is time for TRANSFORMATION

Credit/source; We Are Humanity

Just voting for a candidate that is not taking corporate money and is offering green solutions makes you a winner, no matter how the voting process turns out, no matter who wins the election.

It really does not matter who wins, because what is MOST important is that your voice is being heard and that you are voting your conscience, not out of fear or mass media programming.

If you need more fuel for the fire to change your mind about not voting, read the following article by Charles Blow.

People Should Be In A Rage... By Charles Blow
"but where rage should be, there is too often a whimper."

Lions to the Ballot Box - Those struggling, unconquerable in their dignity and holding fast to the idea of equality, will one day roar like mighty lions, but only when they shake loose the lie that these non voting toothless lions are weak, sickly, unable to stand and divested of their power.

SOLUTIONS: HOW TO FIX THE CORRUPTED ELECTION SYSTEM

Remarks at Physicians for Social Responsibility
I'm not against elections. I think we should start having elections. In 2016 we will not have a legitimate election with any chance of doing anyone any good in its choice of president. Here's what I think we need:

  1. No private election spending.
  2. Free media air time on our air waves for candidates qualified by signature gathering.
  3. Public financing, ballot access, and debate access for candidates qualified by signature gathering.
  4. No gerrymandering.
  5. Hand-counted paper ballots publicly counted in every polling place.
  6. Election day holiday.
  7. Limited campaign season.
  8. Automatic voter registration.
  9. Full representation for Washington, D.C., and all of the U.S. colonies in the Caribbean and Pacific.
  10. Voting rights regardless of criminal conviction.
  11. National popular vote with no electoral college.
  12. Mandatory voting with an option for "none of the above."
  13. Abolition of the Senate.
  14. A larger House of Representatives.
  15. Direct public vote on important matters (national initiative).
  16. Ban on war profiteering.
  17. Ban on secret budgets and agencies.
  18. Ban on executive power use by vice presidents.

SOLUTION: ALL POLITICAL PARTIES NEED TO BE ABOLISHED

Why can't America have a political system where everyone gets their representative that they vote for, as long as they get at least 3% of the vote, like in Germany, France, and many other democratic countries.

Why does it have to be winner take all in America? Why does America have such as a need for a Dualopoly, while locking everyone else out of the political game?

If everyone knows that their vote will be counted and their representative will be in Congress, people will be more likely to vote.

SOLUTION: IF POLITICAL PARTIES ARE TO HAVE ANY LEGITIMACY, THEN ALL PARTIES NEED TO BE REPRESENTED IN CONGRESS AND SENATE, AS LONG AS THEY GET 1 PERCENT OF THE VOTE, VIA A REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY, WHERE NO VOTES ARE WASTED

The current first-past-the-post system is distinctly UNDEMOCRATIC in that it routinely VIOLATES the basic democratic principle of MAJORITY RULE when a party with a minority of the votes ends up with a majority of the seats, as with the current government. Sorry folks but that's NOT MAJORITY RULE and THAT'S NOT DEMOCRATIC.

PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION is used by dozens of countries all around the world, including Albania, Algeria, Angola, Argentina, Aruba, Austria, Belgium, Benin, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Fiji, Finland, Greece, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Honduras, Iceland, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Niger, Norway, Palestinian Territory, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Rwanda, San Marino, Sao Tome and Principe, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, and Uruguay.

No one should be concerned about 'wasting' their vote. Every vote should be counted, and all people should have a representative in power. There is no reason for a winner take all situation, and it is patently unfair as well as undemocratic. The above elections result graphic shows multiple parties, and how each party has seats allocated to them in their version of Congress. There is no need for a winner takes all system, which only encourages corruption and sociopaths taking over the reigns of power.

What is proportional representation?

VOTING FOR THE LESSER EVIL IS WHAT GOT THE US INTO THE MESS IT IS IN TODAY

Vote for those candidates who are brave enough to fix or transform the broken American elections system. Vote for those candidates that make it clear they will stand with the 99 percent, not the 1 percent.

IT IS THE DUTY OF EVERY VOTER TO STOP FASCISM; WHICH IS DEFINED AS CORPORATIONS CONTROLLING THE GOVERNMENT

The first question to ask is if the candidate accepts corporate money or not.

Money corrupts. Absolute Power and plus avalanches of money corrupts absolutely.

Ask your candidate which billionaire or corporate interest groups they are accepting money from, or if they are not accepting any money from any corporation or 1 percent billionaires.

In the 2016 election, Trump was saying his campaign was entirely self funded, because he was a billionaire, but in reality, he was a 1 percenter, getting money from MANY other billionaires and from gun manufacturers, through the pro gun lobby group called the NRA.

Corporations controlling government is called FASCISM, and it is up to voters to stop it, by not voting for candidates that take corporate money (bribes) which corrupt them absolutely.

The only candidate in the 2016 election that was not taking corporate money were Jill Stein in the Green Party, which does not accept any corporate money as a value and principle, and Sanders.

How many boxes did you check off?

Al Rode 'There is fascism, leading only into the blackness which it has chosen as its symbol, into smartness and yapping out of orders, and self-righteous brutality, into social as well as international war. It means change without hope. Our immediate duty — in that tinkering which is the only useful form of action in our leaky old tub — our immediate duty is to stop it.' - E.M. Forster

At his core, Trump is a conman. Here are 20 broken promises he's made to Trump voters.

Why is it that a politician can legally lie to constituents, but if you as a citizen lie to the government, that is a felony and means a jail term, plus fines? Maybe it is time to change that?

WHAT YOU CAN DO: MAKE UP YOUR OWN CANDIDATE REPORT AND COMPARISON CHART

Beyond not voting for any candidate that take corporate money, here are some further steps that can be taken to be a responsible voter holding politicians accountable.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

If you are not registered to vote; register. It is also possible to register and vote on the same day...
http://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/same-day-registration.aspx

If you don't like voting in person, register to vote by mail, permanently. You do not have to travel anywhere to vote and voting can be done on your day off work or even on a weekend.

Vote your conscience, heart and not for the lesser evil candidate.

Vote in all elections.

Vote early by mail if possible and then check in later to make sure ballot was counted. Deliver it by hand and in person if possible, so it does not get 'lost', or is not counted due to missing signature, etc. Have some election official check ballot and make sure everything is filled in correctly.
